Question: Why is it, that if I would take a hot piece of food(yad soledes bo) from a kli rishon using my hands, that the food isn't boleah taam from my hand thus rendering the food assur. One of my friends suggetsed that maybe living things can't be polet taam. What do you think?
Answer: There is a machlokes on the topic, see Pischei Teshuva YD 104. It is generally accepted that live organisms neither absorb nor give off taam.
