Question: When is the proper time to say Tefilas Haderech when traveling on a plane? Thank you.
Answer: If the airport is located outside city limits, the ideal time to say tefilas haderech is in the car on the way to the airport. If the airport is in a location where tefilas haderech is not needed, then one should recite it while taxiing on the runway before lifting off into the air.
