Halacha - shower during nine days
Submitted by anonymous  Answered by Rav Peretz Moncharsh

Sefardim may shower up until the calendar week of Tisha B'Av, which does not exist this year when Tisha B'Av falls on a Sunday. Ashkenazim do not shower the entire 9 days and even the morning of the tenth, except under significant discomfort. Today most people are sensitive to their personal hygiene and become uncomfortable easily, and most Poskim are lenient. When the need arises to shower one should do the minimal necessary to get clean, but not to enjoy and relax. Therefore, one should take as cold of a shower as can be tolerated, but soap and shampoo may be used.
