Halacha - tzitzis and techeles
Submitted by josh  Answered by Rav Peretz Moncharsh
Question:
Answer:

You heard correctly, the Terumas HaDeshen gives the reason of zecher l'techailes for the   black stripes. However, in Halacha there is no reason not to keep the stripes as long as the edge of the talis where the strings attach is white, and I recommend maintaining the common practice. However your question is valid as Maharshal and Chida write that there are Kabbalistic reasons to wear an all white talis.
