Halacha - havara
Submitted by anonymous  Answered by Rav Peretz Moncharsh
Question: can a sfardi bochur daven for the amud in a ashkenaz yeshiva without keeping to a sfardi havara
Answer:

While Rav Vosner shlita writes that a Sefaradi bachur should daven in his familiar havara even when he davens for the amud in an Ashkenazi yeshiva, Reb Moshe Feinstein zatzal and the Tzitz Eliezer write that it is better to use the pronunciation of the tzibur. However, the implication is that there is no problem for him to use a different havara than what he is used to. Generally speaking, one should not change his manner of pronunciation, because each of the different minhagim was followed by numerous Gedolim and we do not know which way is correct.
