Halacha - Coffee beans on Pesach
Submitted by Daniel  Answered by Rav Peretz Moncharsh
Answer: Coffee beans are not real beans (legumes) but the sead of a fruit. Futhermore, it is generally accepted that kitniyos does not apply to anything that grows on a tree even if it grows in a pod. Therefore, the dietary staples of chocolate and coffee are permitted on Pesach.
